"Willkommen im Hotel Mondial" is a German eve series on ZDF that has been in production since the end of June 2022. It is to comprise twelve 45-minute episodes and is expected to be broadcast on Wednesdays in early 2023.

The exterior shots will be filmed in Schwerin, the location of the hotel. The interior shots will take place in an old carpet factory in Geesthacht near Hamburg. ZDF expects filming to continue next year.

The brand-new series will be broadcast on ZDF starting in January 2023 at 7:25 pm.

Plot: Driven by the desire to learn more about her past, Lara Hildebrandt (Joy Ewulu) wants to start her new job as assistant to the boss at the Hotel Mondial. She is in for a nasty surprise: the boss is now a female boss and she quits on her first day of work. Through an encounter with a special guest, Lara gathers courage to fight for her job and pursue her plan to learn more about that fateful time when she was snatched from her mother at the Hotel Mondial. Meanwhile, there is great unrest among the hotel employees, because the new hotel manager Eva de Vries (Gesine Cukrowski) leaves no stone unturned. Trouble with the employees is therefore inevitable.
